EmailDaniel EnyaEkoro attended St. Anthony’s Primary School, Ajassor and Comprehensive Secondary School, Ajassor, both in Etung Local Government Area of Cross River State. He obtained his B.A and M.A degrees in English and Literary Studies from the University of Calabar. He also holds a PGDE from Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto. Currently, he is undergoing a P.h.D programme in the University of Calabar. He took up an appointment with the university of Calabar as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of English and Literary Studies in December, 2014. Before then, he had worked with Aviation Logistics and Management Limited at Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar, as Customer Liaison Officer and Security Agent. In 1995, he was awarded “Best Graduating Student†by the Management of Comprehensive Secondary School, decorated with “Award of Excellence†in 2006 by Government Day Secondary School, GarbaChede, Taraba State, for service to that institution; and in 2018, given Award of Honours by the English and Literary Students Association, University of Calabar. Daniel Ekoro teaches English Syntax and Lexis, Morphology of English, Applied Linguistics, Topical Issues in English Language, Varieties of English and English Grammar and Composition. Since 2016, he has been coordinating the Long Essay projects in the Department of English and Literary Studies. He was also the examination officer for Pre-Degree – English (2017). He had supervised so far three (3) undergraduate projects. He had attended the International Conference on African Literature and the English Language (2016) and (2018), and equally was in subcommittees that organized the conferences.Daniel Ekoro had done research on Oral Literature (2002), Literature and Violence (2004), Language and Teaching (2010), and Syntactic Analysis (2011). He belongs to Readers Association of Nigeria (RAN) and Teachers’ Registration Council (TRC). He has a Journal article in Taraba Journal of English and Literature. And a couple of other articles to yet to be published.
