About Prof. Cristopher Ubung Iklaki

Professor Christopher Ubung Iklaki was borned on the 3rd of August 1963 in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria. He attended primary education in government primary school Ipong and secondary education at the government secondary school Obudu . He was admitted into the university of Calabar where he obtained an MBBCh in 1987 and later proceeded to do his postgraduate program and became a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons(FWACS) in 2004. He is also a fellow of the international college of surgeons(FICS) and a fellow of Institute of Corprate Administrators(FICAi). He was employed into the university of Calabar in 2005 as a lecturer1 in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Faculty of Medicine in the College of medical sciences and has since risen to the rank of a professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has several awards and honors conferred on him by his community and other organisations. He is a reviewer to several journals and has mentored many postgraduates and undergraduate students. He has also attended several conferences and presented several papers. He was part of the organisation of the west Afrcan college of surgeons in Calabar 2010 and Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology(SOGON) in Calabar 2019. He has about 40publications to his name and he is still researching with a special interest in urogynaecology and Obstetrics fistula. He is currently collaborating with pathfinder and engender Health in the management of fistula and emergency obstetrics care in Nigeria.
