About Dr. Bernard Atrogor Oko

Bernard Atrogor Oko joined the services of University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria in 2010 as Administrative Assistant. He was later converted to academic in 2013 as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Curriculum. He was promoted to the rank of Lecturer II in 2016. He holds a Diploma in Pre-Primary Education (2001) from the University of Ibadan, B. Ed. (2005), M.Ed (2012) and PhD (2017) degrees in Elementary Education from University of Calabar. His main research areas include: curriculum studies, learner’s performance in Basic Education and application of ICT resources in classroom instruction and lesson delivery as well as utilization of instructional resources for effective teaching and learning. Dr Oko has been teaching, mentoring and contributing to the graduation of students in the University. He has attended and presented papers in conferences both locally and internationally. Bernard has also published articles in local and international journals. Dr. Bernard Atrogor Oko has held position of responsibilities within and outside his Department. These include: Departmental Admission/Screening Officer, students’ staff Adviser, and Faculty of Education Teaching Practice Committee where he is serving as Secretary. He is happily married. His hubbies include: reading, writing, traveling and listening to news. He is a member of Curriculum Organization of Nigeria and Organisation for Early Childhood Education.
