EmailAugustine A. Edung was employed into service of the University on the 3rd of July, 2018. He has an M. A, English &Literary Studies, from the University of Calabar (2017) and a B. A., English and Literary Studies, also from the University of Calabar (2013). In his teaching and scholarship career in general, he specialises in the areas of African and Diaspora Literature, Literary Criticism and Stylistics Studies. He has won the following awards and recognitions: the Wale Adenuga National Script Writing Competition (Winner, 2008); the Calabar Carnival Essay/Short Story Writing Competition (Overall Winner, 2012). He has served as the Editor of the newsletters of the Calabar Literary Society (2014). He is a member of the following associations: the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Readers Association of Nigeria (RAN) And the Calabar Literary Society (CLS). He is a poet and novelist with a number of published works.
