Dr. Aniekanabasi Jonathan Okon is a lecturer in the Department of Public Health, University of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, Master of Science degree in Environmental Health Management both from the University of Uyo and a doctorate degree in Public Health with specialty in Environmental Health from the University of Calabar. Dr. Okon is currently involved in researches in the area of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), solid waste management and environmental exposure to toxins. She lectures and supervises undergraduate and graduate students. She is registered with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria, and is also a member of several other professional bodies. She has authored and co-authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals.
