Dr. IKAMAISE, VALENTINE CORNELIUS was born on the 14th day of February, 1961. Dr. Ikamaise is from Ikot Ankan in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. He attended the following institutions of learning: St. Peter’s Primary School, Urua Edet Obo, Essien Udim, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, Holy Family College, Oku Abak, Abak, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, University of Calabar, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria and University of Calabar, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. He holds the following degrees: B.Sc. (Hons) Radiography, M.Sc Environmental Control/Mgt. (Human Health and Environment), M.Sc. Applied Nuclear Physics, M.Sc. Human Anatomy and a PhD. Radiographic/Clinical Anatomy. He is a member of the following professional groups: Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN), International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT) and Anatomical Society of South-South and South-Eastern Nigeria. He has served in various capacities within UNICAL and other Universities; Acting Head of Department of Radiography, University of Calabar (2008-2010), Editorial Adviser for Ghana Journal of Allied Health Sciences (2007- 2010), External Examiner to University of Ghana (2008-2011), Editorial Member of Nigerian Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Faculty Advisor SIFE Nigeria, University of Calabar Team, External Examiner to Bayero University, Kano, External Examiner to University of Maiduguri and an Adjunct Lecturer to University of Uyo. . He is currently a Senior Lecturer in University of Calabar..
