Dr Richard Undigweundeye Ukpanukpong is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry University of Calabar. He obtained his Ph.D in Biochemistry from the University of Calabar in 2012. His main research area is on Toxicological Biochemistry with unreserved interest on Phytomedicine. His contributions to academic development range from teaching, research and mentoring of students at all levels. This prolific scholar started his career as a college teacher with Cross River State Technical Education Board in 2006 before joining the Kwararafa University, Wukari as Lecturer 1 in 2013. He transferred his services to Joseph Ayo Babalola University in 2014 as a Lecturer 1 where he served in many positions including Examinations Officer (2015-2016), Sub- Dean of College of Natural Sciences (2015-2017), Deputy Director of Academic Planning (2016-2017), Deputy Director of Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board Programme (2016-2017) and as a Managing Editor of Official JABU Journal of College of Natural Sciences between 2016 and 2017. Dr Richard Ukpanukpong latter transferred his services to the University of Calabar in 2017 where he is presently serving as Examinations Officer in the Department (2017 till date), Academic Board Secretary (2017 til date) and member of several other committees, He has successfully supervised three graduate students. This university scholar has attended local and international conferences in his area where he presented papers. Dr Ukpanukpong has served as reviewer to many journals in his discipline and has published over fifty five articles in local and international peer review journals. Dr Richard Ukpanukpong is a member of many professional bodies including Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and West African Society of Toxicology..
