Dr Uchenna Egodi Ajake holds a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from the University of Uyo-Nigeria, M.Ed Educational Psychology (2004) and Ph.D Educational Psychology from the University of Calabar, Nigeria in 2008. Dr (Mrs) Ajake joined the services of the University of Calabar in 2008 as lecturer II and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor of Educational Psychology in 2015. She has over seventeen years teaching experience. Her research interest cuts across learning, motivation, early childhood development, parenting, personality development, marital conflict, child psychology, higher education, entrepreneurship development. She was part of the team that developed the blue print for the University of Calabar Centre for Entrepreneurship Education (EDC) in 2013. She was coordinator Diploma Programmes (2011-2016), Teaching practice coordinator (2011-2017) and the current coordinator of Graduate Programmes in the Institute of Education. Dr Ajake has published over 40 journal articles in both foreign and local peer review journals. Dr Ajake is a co-editor of Institute of Education Journal of Basic and Lifelong Education. She has authored a book titled Manage Your Stress: A Practical Approach. Mrs has supervised and co-supervised over 5 post graduate students. She has attended over 27 local and international conferences where she made presentations. Mrs Ajake is a beneficiary of the institutional (University of Calabar Based Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) (2012 and 2015). She has presented stress management, career and entrepreneurship talks at several fora. She is a member of Nigerian Educational Psychology Association, Life member International Council on Education for Teaching, (ICET), Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria, Nutrition Society of Nigeria, Home Economics Teachers’ Association of Nigeria and many others. .
