Dr. Paul B. Okon-Inyang is the current Head of Department of Soil Science. He is a Senior Lecturer who specializes on soil physics, Hydrology and soil quality conservation. He has developed a tropical soil quality model used in detecting and grading soil quality in different ecosystems. Paul is an international scholar and a senior Associate of the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Niramare, Trieste, Italy. He is a versatile and resourceful scientist; married to Affiong (a weed scientist), and they have four (4) children (2 boys and 2 girls). He is a good christian and a choirmaster who also likes gardening, photography and swimming..
