Dr. Eric Ugor Ogri

Dr. Eric Ugor Ogri is a passionate and sagacious academic with a touch of extraordinary scholastic ingenuity. He has a craving and unparallel zeal for research and mentoring. He is a seasoned and cerebral teacher with an appetite for more knowledge acquisition. In fact, Dr. Ogri is addicted to learning. His research bias cut across wide range of subject, which include Public Relations/Advertising, Development Communication, Political Communication and the New Media, among others. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and African Council of Communication Education (ACCE). Dr. Ogri holds a Ph.D degree in Communication Studies (Public Relations), University of Calabar; an M.Sc. in PR/Advertising (University of Lagos); a PGD in Education (NTI) and a B.Sc. degree in Mass Communication from the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH). He joined the service of the University of Calabar as a lecturer in the Department of Linguistics and Communication Studies in January, 2016. In June 2017, he was redeployed to the Department of Mass Communication as one of the pioneering lecturers in the newly created department. .
