Dr Michael Takim Otu served in the Cross River State University of Technology, Calabar between 1994 and 2008 when he successfully transferred his services to the University of Calabar as Lecturer II in the Department of Private and Property Law. He holds a Ph.D in Law, specializing in Law of Secured Credit transactions/property Law obtained from the University of Abuja in 2015. He has been involved in teaching, research, project supervision and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students. He is currently the Chairman, Faculty of Law Graduate Committee. He is a member of Nigeria Law Teachers Association and Nigeria Bar Association. His areas of research interest are land Law , Equity and Trust, secured Credit transactions and Mortgages, Oil and Gas law, Administrative law and good governance, Contract. He has several publications in local and foreign Journals of repute and has attended several conferences. .
