Dr Macauley Asim Ittah is an Associate Professor of Crop Genetics and Breeding in the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Wildlife Resources Management, University of Calabar, Nigeria. He was employed in the University of Calabar in August, 1994 as Assistant Lecturer and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2016. He holds a PhD degree from the University of Calabar. His research interest is in Ecological Genetics and Crop Breeding. He has published twenty three research articles in learned peer review journals and has presented five conference papers. Macauley Asim Ittah has successfully supervised and co-supervised five M.Sc. and three PhD students’ theses. He is working on “adaptation and plant bio-diversity in the humid tropical agro-ecology”. He is a member of the Genetics Society of Nigeria and currently the Financial Secretary. He was the Business Manager of the Nigerian Journal of Genetics (2012-2016). Dr. Ittah has reviewed scholarly articles for the Global Journal of Agriculture, Asian Journal of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Nigerian journal of Genetics and other international journals.
