Dr. Lilian Okoro is caring mother of many children and a submissive wife to Mazi Chijioke Okoro and a philanthropist. A performing Artist par excellence, a seasoned event Planner and Educationist. She joined the services of the University of Calabar in September, 2013 as Assistant Lecturer and was later promoted in 2016 to Lecturer II. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Theatre from the University of Calabar in 2016 and a Master Degree in Arts Administration from the same University in 2006 and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Port Harcourt in 1997. Sequel to her employment in the University of Calabar, She has been Teaching, Counselling, Mentoring and supervising over 20 Diploma and B.A research works. She has conducted research in several areas including Early Childhood Education, Tourism and Hospitality, Cultural Enlightenment, Children and Media Consumption. She has published articles in peer reviewed journals and has attended seminar, symposia and conferences. She has received several awards from student bodies and other organizations within and outside the country. She has handled several positions in the faculty of Arts and her Department. There include : Member Faculty of Arts Welfare Committee, Coordinator of Educational Visitors to the Department , member Accreditation Committee, member of Curriculum review committee , member of Disciplinary committee, LOC. Secretary for Calabar Theatre and Media Conference. Lilian Okoro is a Peace Ambassador. .
