Kalu Ama Okorafor is a lecturer in the Department of Zoology and Environmental Biology, University of Calabar. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology from University of Calabar. He has also acquired M.Sc. degree in Ecology and Environmental Biology from University of Ibadan. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in University of Ibadan under the guardianship of Professor Adiaha A. A. Ugwumba. His field of research covers: Pollution and Toxicology, Wildlife Ecology, Environmental Remediation, Environmental Impact Assessment and Aquatic Ecology. He has more than 37 publications in both national and international journals. He is a member of Nigerian Environmental Society (NES). He contributes his quota in community development service. As a demonstration of his involvement in community development service, he joined the Nigerian Red Cross Society in 2015. He attends and presents papers in conferences. He has attended several capacity building trainings/workshops. He currently teaches courses in Environmental Toxicology, Pollution, Ecology, Invertebrate Zoology, etc. in the Department of Zoology and Environmental Biology, University of Calabar..
