Dr. Joseph Nkang Ogar was employed on the 1st of September, 2008 as lecturer II in the Department of Philosophy, University of Calabar. He had at the entering appointment, B.A Hons. in Philosophy in 1997, Master of Arts Degree in Philosophy in 2002 and Doctor of Philosophy of Law degree in 2006. Dr. Ogar taught many courses at the undergraduate level. In 2011, he was promoted to lecturer I and was consequently admitted into the post graduate lecturers of the Department which qualified him to teach post graduate students. Dr. Joseph Ogar is a peer reviewer to many International Journals. He is also the production editor of the LEAJON: An Academic Journal of Interdisciplinary studies. Besides having many undergraduate students passed through his supervision, Dr. Ogar successfully supervised 4 Masters’ students and 5 Ph.D students. He attended many local and International conferences, with over 50 research works published in both local and International journals of high repute. In 2014 Dr. Joseph Ogar was promoted to the rank of a senior lecturer and in 2017 he earned another promotion to the rank of Associate Professor. Joseph Ogar’s research interest covers Bioethics, Ethics, Professional Ethics, Philosophy of Law, and lots more. Dr. Joseph Nkang Ogar he is the Associate Editor of Gnosi: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Theory and Praxis. Gnosi Journal is a biannual (June and December) anonymous peer-reviewed academic-based journal, domiciled in the “Department of Philosophy” the University of Calabar, Nigeria.   .
