John Okiri Inyang is a lecturer in the Department of Economics, University of Calabar. He is a researcher, and project management expert with a keen interest in health economics, development economics and public sector economics research. John was employed in the services of the University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria in 2013 as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Economics and was later upgraded to the rank of Assistant Lecturer in February 2019. John holds a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Economics from the University of Calabar, Nigeria (2012) and was awarded an M.Sc. degree in Economics by the University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 2019. He was awarded a 2-year Study Fellowship by the University of Calabar from 2015 to 2017. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics to enable him to fully achieve his career objectives. Since joining the University of Calabar, John has been teaching, mentoring and contributing to the research acumen and graduation of students at the University. He serves in the capacity of Examination Officer at the department from 2020 till date. He also has served on various academic committees in the department such as examination committee, post-graduate defence committee, and accreditation committee. John Inyang has attended and presented papers at local and international conferences and published articles in local and international journals. Over the years, John has distinguished himself and acquired unique skills and capabilities in research, data analysis, content writing, project management, and development work. John collaborates with scholars, researchers and organizations to improve human resource capacity. She also participates in community services and other volunteering opportunities. .
