Ms. Iquo Oyohosuho Phillip

Iquo O. Phillip is a lecturer in the Department of Genetics & Biotechnology, who joined the services of the University of Calabar in 2016 as an Assistant lecturer. She holds a Bachelors degree in Genetics & Biotechnology from the University of Calabar and a Masters degree in Molecular Medicine from the University of Sheffield, UK. Her area of research interest/specialization is in the molecular basis of genetic diseases, gene expression and control. She is a member of the Biotechnology Society of Nigeria and a concessionary member Bristish Society of Immunology. She currently teaches undergraduates courses in cell biology, biological techniques, human genetics amongst others. As a young scientist at heart, she has attended several conferences in her quest for knowledge, like the maiden edition of young scientist conference in Africa and conferences of the Biotechnology society. As a lecturer/researcher in training she's open to collaborations and areas of research in her field. .
