Professor Emmy Ikanaba Unuja IDEGU lectures with the Department of Theatre, Film and Carnival Studies, University of Calabar, South-South Nigeria. A holder of the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts (1984), University of Jos, Master of Arts (Drama) 1989 and PhD Drama (2004) both from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, he is a Professor of Playwriting and African Theatre. He has so far published at least twenty plays and has a number of articles in peer reviewed journals. One of his plays, The Legendary Inikpi has received accolade and wide acceptability by both Nigerian and foreign audiences where the play has received great ovations. Professor Idegu is also an ordained Reverend minister of the Gospel. He is the Presiding Labourer of the Odolu Soul Hunt Ministry, in Odolu, Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area, Kogi State, Middle Belt Region of Nigeria. He is a rising voice in theatre scholarship in Nigeria and a tested playwright director. He is a nominee of the prestigious LNG Award for Literature (Playwriting, 2010) with his entry, Ata Igala the Great. Recently he propounded the Experiential Testimonial Creativity (ETC) Theory recommended for the critiquing of creative works. Reverend Professor Idegu is happily married to a female wife..
