Dr. Frank Enor was employed into the Department of History and International Studies as Lecturer II in October, 2004. He rose to the rank of Associate Professor in 2016. Frank's early educational career commenced in Ikom, his hometown where he obtained the FSLC and WASC. He proceeded to the CRS School of Basic Studies, Akamkpa for higher studies and the University of Calabar in Nigeria. Between 1986 to 2002, frank has acquired the B.A. (Hons) degree in Cultural History, M.A. degree in Diplomatic History and Ph.D. in History and International Studies. He has been teaching, researching and mentoring students at the undergradduate and graduate levels. He has supervised many undergraduate and post graduate degree theses. Frank's research interest and areas of specialization include United States-Africa Relations, cultural and diplomatic history and political economy. He has authored two textbooks and co-authored viz: United States Policy Towards Africa Since the Cold War (2012), Nta and their Neighbours Intergroup Relations in the Middle Cross River Region (2007), and Cross River Monolith of Nigeria co-authored with David Coulson and Abu S. Edet (2016). Frank has neither received grants or study fellowship but several awards including the prestigious Faculty of Arts (FASA) Awards BEST OF THE BEST, 2010 and 2018, among others, respectively. Dr. Enor is also a freelance editor and editorial team member of the Calabar History Journal. He chaired a panel session of the second Faculty of Arts International Conference in 2016. As Head of Department, he organized the Third International Conference of the Department of History and International Studies in March, 2018 with the theme "Cross River Monoliths: The Conservation and Interpretation of Indigenous Cultural Stones". In 2017, he organized the first ever colloquium in memory of the Late Professor Erim O. Erim a pioneer staff of the Department. With the collaboration of Trust for Africa Rock Arts (TARA), a Kenyan based conservation N.G.O., Foundation for Digital Technology in Conservation (FACTUM), Spain and the Cross River Monolith Study Group Calabar. Dr. Enor co-authored "The Cross River Monolith of Nigeria" (2016), as the first phase of research findings in the monolith research project in the Bakor area of the Middle Cross River Region. Dr. Enor is member of the Historical Society of Nigeria, Member of the European Centre for Research Training and Development, United Kingdom (UK) among others. He has to his credit several peer reviewed journal articles in local and international journals and can be searched in google scholar, the Academia , among others..
