Fr. Emmanuel Kelechi Iwuagwu

Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Kelechi Iwuagwu is a Catholic priest of the Catholic Diocese of Okigwe, Imo State, Nigeria. He was ordained to the Catholic priesthood on the 3rd of September, 1993. Fr Emmanuel Iwuagwu was born on the 23rd of September, 1966 at Umuderim Village in Ihitte/Uboma L.G.A, Imo State. He did his primary education at Community Primary School Umuderim, his secondary education at Immaculate Conception Seminary Umuahia, Abia State and St. Peter’s Seminary Okigwe, Imo State. He did his undergraduate studies at Seat of Wisdom Major Seminary Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria and at the Pontifical Urban University Rome, Italy. His postgraduate studies were done at the University of Calabar, Nigeria. In the course of his studies Fr Iwuagwu obtained the following academic qualifications: First School Leaving Certificate (1979), West African School Certificate (1984), Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Urban University Rome, 1989), Bachelor of Arts in Theology (Urban University Rome, 1993), Master of Arts degree (M.A) in Philosophy (UNICAL, 2002), Masters Degree in Public Administration (M.P.A), (UNICAL, 2003), Doctorate Degree (Ph.D) in Philosophy (UNICAL, 2007). Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Kelechi Iwuagwu was employed in the University of Calabar on the 13th of May, 2013 as a teaching staff in the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Arts. Among the courses he teaches are: Social and Political Philosophy, Applied Ethics, Introduction to Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion and Philosophy & Logic. He is a member of the following Learned Societies: Society for Research and Academic Excellence and Nigerian Philosophical Association. Rev. Fr. Iwuagwu has attended many International Conferences where he presented his research papers. He has also published many works in both local and international journals of high repute as well as some book chapters. .
