Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Emmanuel Orok Duke graduated with First Class in Philosophy from Urban Pontifical University, Rome, Italy in 1998. In 2003, he bagged another First Class in Theology from the same Pontifical University. He was ordained Roman Catholic Priest on 16th August, 2003. That same year, was appointed the Rector of Immaculate Conception Seminary, Mfamosing, Akamkpa. He held this office for three years (2003-2006). Dr. Duke completed a post-graduate diploma in Education in 2006 before leaving for Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium for further studies. He was in Leuven from 2006-2008 where in graduated with Advance Masters in Religious Studies and Licentiate in Sacred Theology. His academic journey took him to the Gregorian Pontifical University, Rome, Italy (2008-2013). His studies in this prestigious Jesuit University bore fruits: another licentiate in Sacred Theology and Doctorate in Sacred Theology. He returned to Nigeria in 2013 and joined the formation team of St. Joseph Major Seminary, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, where he lectured in the Department of Theology. In 2013, he was employed as Lecturer II in the University of Calabar and started lecturing in 2014. He served as the Secretary of Departmental Board Meeting from 2014-2015. He is a member of the University Convocation Planning Committee since 2018. He current academic rank is Lecturer I. His research interests include: sociology of religion, systematic theology, dogmatic theology, cultural studies, cultural psychology and interdisciplinary studies on culture and religion..
