Dr. Edward Ugbada Adie joined the services of the University in 2012 as Assistant Lecturer and was later upgraded to the rank of Lecturer II in 2016. He holds a B.A. (Hons.) degree in Drama (2006), M.A. degree in Development Communication (2011) and Ph.D degree in Theatre for Development (2016), all from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria-Nigeria. Edward Adie has been teaching and researching in the areas of Theatre and Development Communication in the University of Calabar-Nigeria. He is a regular participant in many conferences, workshops, seminars and symposia where he has been presenting papers. Dr Adie has over twenty five scholarly publications in both local and foreign peer reviewed academic journals. He has served his Departments and the Univeristy in many positions including Chairman, Departmental Publications Committee, Secretary, Examinations Vetting Committee, Theatre Manager, Departmental Business Manager amongst others. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Theatre and Media Studies, which is domiciled in the Department of Theatre, Film and Carnival Studies, University of Calabar. Dr Adie is also serving as the Assistant Editor of Calabar Journal of Liberal Studies, Co-ordinating Editor of the Journal of Integrative Humanism in Nigeria. Dr. Edward Adie is the current Secretary General of the Faculties of Arts/Humanities Scholars Association of Nigerian Universities and member, Society of Nigerian Theatre Artists. He is married with children. .
