Prof. Joe Duke II is professor of Business Management and a professional management consultant certified in 1992 by the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (IMCON), and the Center for Management Development (CMD) of Nigeria. He holds a Doctorate (Ph.D) in Business Management (focus on Entrepreneurship) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Calabar. He also holds a Post-graduate Diploma/Certificate in Teaching & Learning from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, USA. He has held such important academic and service positions at the University of Calabar as: Head of Department of Business Management Department (2008 – 2010); Chairman, Faculty Graduate Committee, Faculty of Management Sciences (2012-2104); Member, Graduate School Board (2012 – 2014); and, Coordinator, Post Graduate Diploma-in-Management Programme (2008 - 2010). He has served as: Chairman, Results & Vetting Board sub-Committee of the Graduate School Board (2013-2014); Member, Graduate Programmes Qualifying Examination Board sub-Committee of the Graduate School Board (2012 – 2014); Member, Campus Business Premises Committee (2008 – 2010); Member, STEP-B Committee (2011-2015); and, Member, SERVICOM – University of Calabar Unit (2011-2015). He is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Calabar. .
