Dr. (Mrs) Dodeye Uduak Williams was employed in 2002 as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Political Science. She is currently a Senior Lecturer with 17 years of teaching and research experience. Dr. Williams holds a Ph.D in International Relations (University of Calabar, Calabar, 2011); an MA in Global Security (University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, 2014); an M.Sc in International Relations (University of Nigeria, Nsukka 2003) and a B.Sc in Political Science (University of Calabar, Calabar, 1998). Dr. Williams was awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship for Split-site Doctoral Research in 2008. The award was hosted by the Center for African Studies (CAS), University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom 2008-2009. She teaches courses at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. These courses include Strategic Studies, Force in International Politics, War Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, Gender and Development, War and Society in Africa and Theories of International Relations to mention a few. Dr. Williams has attended several professional, international and local conferences where she has presented academic papers. She is a member of may professional associations including the Nigerian Political Science Association (NPSA), the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) and the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion (SSSR). She has supervised several Ph.D and M.Sc thesis. Dr. Williams served as the Editor of the Calabar Journal of Politics and Administration (CJOPAA) 2018-2019. She has published several journal articles in both local and international journals..
