Gekpe, Christiana Godwin started her career as a daily paid cleaner from 1999 University of Calabar, Calabar ,while still in the secondary school; where for 7 years she work assiduously for the University of Calabar as a daily paid cleaner. And was later absorbed into the mainstream of the University of Calabar as a Laboratory Assistant in September 2005 . She worked as a Junior Laboratory Staff from 2005-2017 when she was converted to an academic staff in Physiology Department of the University of Calabar, Calabar to an Assistant Lecturer. Christiana Egong Obeten as she was fondly called by her close associates stated her education at Government Primary School, Ekom Agoi-Yakurr in 1986 to 1991 and obtained her FSLC. In 1995 she attended Government Secondary School Anantigha, Calabar where she sat and obtained National Examination Council Examination in the year 2000. She had five credits including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Government. She had an admission into University of Calabar to study Physiology in 2006 and She graduated in 2011 with a B.Sc. in Human Physiology. She proceeded for a Masters Degree program in the same Department (Physiology), University of Calabar in 2012-2016 when she obtained M.Sc in Physiology. In 2016, she applied and obtain an approval for a part time program for a Ph.D in Physiology of the University of Calabar, Calabar. She has researched and published a scholarly Peer Review articles in Local and International Journals like Journals of Dental And Medical Science, Journal of Physiopharmacology amongst others. She has attended Local Conferences in the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT) at Ilorin and Calabar. Gekpe, Christians Godwin is a team player, astute Researchers for both B.Sc, MGP, M.Sc & Ph.D students in the Department, She is a sister, a wife, a mother with the passion for helping, advising and educating others in whichever area of interest. .
