Dr. Charles Effiong is currently a lecturer 1 in the Department of Business Management, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Calabar. He joined the services of the University as a Graduate Assistant on 1st September, 1997. He holds B.Sc. degree in Accounting (1995), Masters degree in Business Administration (2003) and Ph.D degree in Management (2015) all from the University of Calabar. He teaches management courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department of Business Management and supervises their research projects and thesis. He has over twenty one publications in foreign and local journals and have contributed papers in over six professional conferences attended local and foreign. He has served as departmental academic adviser, registration officer, exam officer, and coordinator of departmental consultancy programe (CES). He has served member of faculty accreditation committee, member of departmental and faculty result vetting committee. He also served as collation officer in the Anambra State Governship election in 2018 and Nigeria’s Presidential election in 2019. He is a fellow of Institute of Policy Management Development (FIPMD) and a member of the Academy of Management Nigeria (MAMN). He is a journal reviewer for the journal of Institute of Policy Management Development (JIPDM). .
