Dr. Oluwaseun Omowumi Akin-Fakorede

Dr. (Mrs) Oluwasem Omowumi Akin-Fakorede was employed in the services of the University of Calabar in 2005 as a Library Officer in the Library Unit of the University. She holds a B.Sc. (Ed) degree in Economics Education from the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State in 1998; M. Library Science and Ph.D. in Archives and Record Management by the University of Calabar in 2014 and 2018 respectively. She was converted to an academic staff cadre as an Assistant Lecturer in 2014 after attaining the height of Senior Library Officer. Her main area of research is record management. Dr. Akin-fakorede has been teaching, mentoring, researching, and rendering immense community services since her conversion in 2014. She has attended many conferences and workshops, both local and international, of interest was the 85th IFLA general conference and assembly held in August 2019 in Athens, Greece where she presented a paper. She has published over ten papers in both local and international journals. Dr. Oluwasem Omowumi Akin-Fakorede is a member of the Nigerian Library Association, the Nigerian Association of Library and Information Science Educators, the American Library Association, and a Certified Librarian of Nigeria. She is happily married and the marriage is blessed with children. .
