Dr Victoria N. Ebegbulem holds a Doctorate degree (Ph.D) in Animal Breeding and Genetics from the University of Calabar. She has many peer-reviewed journal articles to her credit and is a member of Genetics Society of Nigeria (GSN), Nigerian Society of Animal Production (NSAP) and Animal Science Association of Nigeria (ASAN). Her team in the Department of Animal Science, University of Calabar won the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) Institution Based Research for the year 2014. Similarly, her Ph.D thesis was selected as one of the best three from the Department of Animal Science by University of Calabar Post Graduate School for the year 2017. Dr Ebegbulem was a member of the Panel of Reviewers for the Nigerian Journal of Animal Science, Volume 20, Issue 3, 2018. She has attended numerous scientific conferences and workshops within Nigeria pertaining to Animal Breeding and Production. Dr Ebegbulem has mentored many undergraduate students and is presently supervising Masters and co-supervising Ph.D students. Her area of research interest is the conservation of Nigerian indigenous animal genetic resources, selection and their improvement. She teaches courses in Animal Breeding and Genetics at undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as Animal Production and Agricultural Statistics. .
