Mr. Valentine Bassey Edet, worked briefly as a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics in Cross River State College of Education, Akamkpa from 1996 – 2003, where he left for politics and business. Not particularly favoured in politics, he returned to the classroom as a lecturer in 2015 in the University of Calabar, Calabar. Edet, Valentine Bassey, a native of Mbarakom community in Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State attended St. Theresa’s Primary School, Mbarakom and graduated in 1979. He started his secondary education at Government Secondary School, Akamkpa and left to complete it at the then Cross River State School of Basic Studies, Akamkpa in 1985. He attended the University of Port Harcourt, and graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1992. Because of his undergraduate interest in numerical methods and optimization, he proceeded to the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Nkpoh, Port Harcourt to read Mathematical Optimization since University of Port Harcourt had no Engineering Optimization in her M.Sc programmes in Engineering. He had his M.Sc degree in Mathematical Optimization in 2009. Mr. Valentine Edet has attended Nigerian Conference in Physical Science, 2019. He has two (2) research papers namely Multistage Adomian Decomposition Method for Nonlinear 4th Order Multi-Point Boundary Value Problems and Lobatto-Runge-Kutta Collocation and Adomian Decomposition Method on Stiff Differential Equations. One of his on-going works for now is Pade Approximant and Adomian decomposition method on Van da Pol Oscillators. .
