Dr. Udida Albert Undiyaundeye

Dr. Udida Albert Undiyaundeye is a humble, articulate, humane, and affable Associate Professor of African History, deeply interested in positively impacting people who come into association with him. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A Hons) degree in History (Lower Division) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN, 1976), M.A. (1982) University of Ibadan, and Ph.D. In History (2005) University of Calabar. He teaches and lectures in the Department of History and International Studies, University of Calabar, Calabar. He was a lecturer at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. He teaches and lectures at both under and post-graduate levels. His former students are making their marks in their various callings of human endeavor and have to his credit a professor Professor O. Mgbada now at Ebonyi State University. He has attended local and international conferences and has published in reputed local and international journals and book chapters. He is a member of several professional associations like the Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN) African Student Association of Africa (ASAA). He was for thirteen years Secretary, Departmental Board of Studies (1989-’93 and 2005-2013), Exams Officer, 2005-2008; Secretary, Post Graduate Committee (2010-2016) and Chairman Project Allocation Committee (2016-2018). He is a two-term Vice President of the Historical Society of Nigeria, South-South Zone. He was a one-time General Secretary of his home community association that indulged the establishment of a secondary-commercial school in his community..
