Stephen Ekwe is a Lecturer at the Department of Physics, University of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. In 2008, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Electronic Engineering from Cross River University of Technology, Nigeria. Throughout his studies, Stephen was profoundly trained in mathematics, electronics, and communication systems. In 2013, he obtained a Master’s degree in Personal Mobile and Satellite Communication from the University of Bradford, in the United Kingdom, which allowed him to advance in the field of wireless communications via research and course work content in Mobile and Wireless Communication Networks, Satellite Communications, Advance Networking Protocols, Digital Signal Processing, and more. In 2014, he was employed in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Physical Science, University of Calabar, where he taught courses in Electronics, Computer Networks, Telecommunication Fundamentals, C programming, and other related subjects. Stephen has also been privileged to serve in some administrative capacities within the university, such as; course coordinator, examination officer, website manager, and academic student adviser. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate with the Communication Research Group, at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Cape Town, South Africa. His research interest includes the 5G Wireless Network, the Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics, Network Theory, Machine Learning, and Network Optimization. He is a member of several professional bodies, such as; the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), the Institute of Information Technology Professionals of South Africa (IITPSA), and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). He is also a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)..
