Dr. Sarah Okpa Josiah started her career in University of Calabar, in 1992 as a Senior Patrol Woman in the University Security Department. Her designation was later changed and transferred to the Library Department of the University as Library Assistant in 1993. Her designation was later converted to Assistant Lecturer in 2015 after attaining the rank of Assistant Librarian. The University of Calabar awarded Dr (Mrs) Josiah a University Diploma Certificate and B.Ed. degree in Adult Education (Community Development) and Diploma in Library and Information Science in 1998, 2004 and 2006 respectively. In 2014, the University of Calabar awarded her a master ’s degree in Library Science. Finally, she also holds a PhD degree in Library and Information Science obtained from the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka in 2016. Since the conversion of her appointment to academic librarian, she has been teaching, researching and mentoring students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She has attended and presented papers at both local and international conferences. She published many articles in both local and international peer reviewed. She is member of many professional associations including Nigeria Library Association. Dr (Mrs) Sarah Okpa is happily and the married is blessed with children. .
