Dr. Peter Nkachukwu Chukwurah

Dr. Peter Chukwurah was employed into the services of the University of Calabar in 2013 as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology. He won the Japanese Government MEXT scholarship for doctoral research in 2016. He holds a doctorate degree in Plant Biotechnology from Chiba University, Japan. Dr. Chukwurah has won other awards including University of Calabar scholarship hostel award (2005), best graduating undergraduate student award (2008), and International Exchange Program Award, Chiba University SEEDS Fund (2019). He has published over 10 articles in local and international journals, and have made presentations in local and international conferences in Ghana, Japan and United Kingdom. He is a member of Genetics Society of Nigeria, Japanese Society of Plant Cell and Molecular Biology and Japanese Society of Breeding..
