Mr Patrick Odey Ukatu joined the services of the University of Calabar as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Crop Science in 2018. He holds a B. Agric in Crop Science (2010) and M. Sc. Crop Science (Crop Protection) (Entomology) (2016) degrees from the University of Calabar, Calabar. Since joining the University, he has been helping in the teaching and mentoring of undergraduate students in areas of Crop Protection, related Courses, and research. He has attended several update courses, seminars, workshops and conferences in Nigeria. Patrick Ukatu has co-authored a local journal article. He is a member of Nigerian Society for Plant Protection and Entomology Society of Nigeria. He was a member of the team of supervisors that evaluated the support to National Programme on Food Security in Cross River, Ekiti and Ondo States by African Development Bank and as an Enumerator on the adoption of Technology by farmers in Cross River State as introduced by Commercial Agriculture Development Project in 2017. He is currently working on the management of Cucumis sativus insect pests using biopesticides..
