Mr. Osong, Ubana Obeten born on the 25th of December, 1969, a native of Ugep in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria started and completed his early education at St. Mary Primary School,Ugep in 1980 and proceeded and finished in Community Secondary School Ugep in 1985. He proceeded to the University of Calabar graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics in 1995 and also attended the University of Ibadan graduating with a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics in 1999 and a postgraduate diploma programme in Mass Communication from Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH) in 2014 and also completed a Master of Science degree in Mass Communication in Cross River University of Technoogy (CRUTECH) in 2018. He is currently undergoing a ph.D programme in Mass Communication, from Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH). He has published several articles in both local and foreign journals. He has equally written books- the most celebrated on Exams Malpractices, "The Octopus in our Public Examinations". His Scholarly inputs have been recognised by both Yakurr Local Government Council and Cross River State Ministry of Education. He was an English and Literature Teacher in a Secondary school before joining the services of the University of Calabar in 2010 as a Lecturer in the department of Linguistics and Communication Studies. He has attended several conferences and presented papers..
