Mr. Oluwaseye Peter Oyetade
MBBS (Sydney), FRACS (Paediatric Surgery)
Mr Oyetade Peter is a lecturer at the Department of Geology, University of Calabar, specialising in sedimentary and energy (petroleum) geoscience. His research focuses on applying a variety of different data sets and modelling techniques to the study of sedimentary basins. He is particularly interested in the use of reflection seismic, well log and geochemical data in understanding the evolutionary history of a basin and characterizing a basin term of their energy potential. Reflection seismology applied to analysis and modelling of complex crustal structure, composition and physical properties of the crust and upper mantle and energy exploration. Additionally, He is interested in using high-resolution seismic techniques applied to fossil-fuel exploration, geothermal and characterization of structures for CO2 sequestration and environmental geology. .
