Dr Oduora Okpokam Asuo hails from Okangha Nzimowan village in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State Nigeria. He attended Government Primary Schhol Barrack Road Calabar, Community Secondary School, Okangha and the University of Calabar where he obtained his First Scool Leaving Certificate, West African Senior School Certificate and Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy respectively. He went further to get a Master of Arts Degree in Philosophy of Science and a PhD in Environmental Philosophy in 2013. Dr Asuo has been teaching Philosophy at the University of Calabar since 2010. His areas of specialization include, environmental philosophy and issues, philosophy of science, social and political philosophy, ethics and bio-ethical issues, philosophy of technology and others. He is also a preacher of the gospel and currently presides over The People of Destiny Christian Ministries, Calabar. He is happily married to Mrs Helen Asuo and their union is blessed with three wonderful children. His hobbies are reading, writing poetry and mentoring younger Christians..
