Dr. Mary Egbai joined the academia in 2008 as Graduate Assistant in the Department of Philosophy. She is a very resourceful, diligent and dependable academia. She was promoted to the rank of Lecturer II in 2016. Dr. Mrs. Mary Julius Egbai is an astute lecturer in the Department of Philosophy in the Faculty of Arts, University of Calabar, Calabar. She holds a Ph.D degree in Feminist Philosophy and Gender Studies awarded by the University of Calabar in 2017. An M. A. degree in Gender Studies and a B. A. (Hons) degrees in Political Philosophy from the same University. Dr. Mrs. Mary Julius Egbai has experience in political and human relations having been an advocate of women participation in Nigerian politics and affirmative action for women representation in governance. Dr Egbai is a member of Nigerian Philosophy Association, an associate member of Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria. She has attended both local and International Conferences where she presented papers. She has some publications in several local and international peer reviewed journals. In addition, she has contributed several books chapters to her credit. .
