Dr. (Mrs) Mabel Obioma Ajah is a research fellow II in the Organized Institute of Education University of Calabar, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Science Education degree from University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1991, Master of Education degree and doctor of philosophy (Educational psychology) from University of Calabar in 2014 and 2019 respectively. She is a lover of children and a long-standing teacher having served at different capacities as a class room teacher and a supervisor of teachers. She has handled children at different levels from nursery to secondary school since 1992 to date. She joined the services of the University of Calabar in 2014 where she is engaged in teaching and research. She served as an academic adviser, the Institute of Education’s desk officer for Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Institute representative for Faculties of Biological sciences and Education. Currently she is serving as the coordinator for ordinary diploma programmes in the Institute of Education Univrsity of Calabar. She has attended and presented papers in several conferences. Her research interest is in the area of Human development (child and adolescent psychology). She is a member of the following professional bodies: Science Teachers’ Association of Nigeria, Reading Association of Nigeria, Nigerian Society of Educational Psychologists, Nigeria Council of Educational Psychologists and Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria. She has several publications in reputable journals to her credit. .
