Mr. Mensah Eyamba OFFIONG

Eyamba Offiong Mensah started his primary education at Housing Estate primary school Calabar where he obtained his first school leaving certificate after which he proceeded to the prestigious Hope Waddell Training Institution in 1991 for his secondary education (1991-1996) and was later admitted into the University of Calabar to study Linguistics (1999-2003). He served his national youth service in Kaduna state (2005-2006) and upon completion enrolled for a master’s degree in the University of Ibadan in 2006-2009. He joined the services of the University of Calabar as an Assistant lecturer in November 2010 and is currently a Lecturer 1 in the Department of Mass Communication and digital media with political/health communication and Social Behavioural Change Communication (SBCC) as his areas of specialization. Mr. Mensah is a member of the Linguistic Association of Nigeria (LAN) as well the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and has a total of 4 publications from both foreign and local journals and has also attended some academic conferences. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate degree in Mass Communication and was also a recipient of the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (ELDP) grant domiciled in the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London in 2011.
