Dr. Joseph Linus Akpan

I am a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology. I involve in research and teaching Pharmacology to medical, paramedical students, masters and Ph.D students. My area of interest include natural product pharmacology (enthnopharmacology), Neuropharmacology, Epidemiology, Tropical disease, CVS and Therapeutics. His interaction with seasoned researchers change his perception of research. He received the institution based Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TET-Fund) grant, EBSU, Valued at One Million Naira (1, 000, 000.00) only in 2015. He is a recipient of many awards including National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) prize for the best corper of the year 1993, Kaduna- Nigeria. Patron Akwa Ibom Welfare Association, Ebonyi State, South East Nigeria, etc. He is a member, West African Society of Pharmacology and also a member, Royal Society of Academy for Art and Science, Ibadan Nigeria. A member, West African Society of Toxicology (WASOT). He is presently working on the toxicological effect of some medicinal plants. .
