Joel Efiong holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Masters in Environmental Resource Planning and Management and a doctorate in Hydro-geomorphology from the University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria. He holds another masters in Geographical Information Systems from University of Leicester, England, UK. He teaches research methods, statistics, hydrology & water resources management, geomorphology, geographical information systems (GIS) and remote sensing (RS) to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. His research interest is in geomorphometry, environmental management and spatial analytic (GIS & RS). He is honest, smart and pious. He is a Tent-making minister with the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria. He loves reading and preaching. .
