Dr. James Abah Ugboh

Dr. James Ugboh holds a M.Sc. and PhD degrees in Applied Mathematics awarded by the University of Calabar in 2004 and 2013 respectively. he was awarded a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics by the University of Jos in 1994. He taught briefly for about three years at Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, between 1994 and 1997. Dr Ugboh joined the services of the University of Calabar, Nigeria in 1997 and was promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer in 2014. His core research area is impulse differential equations. Since joining the University, he has been teaching, researching and mentoring students thereby contrinuting to the growth of the University. He has published twelve articles in both local and international journals. In addition, he has authored and co-authored three textbooks in his area of specialisation. He has successfully supervised and co-supervised one PhD thesis, two M.Sc. and three PGD students. He was Head of Department of Mathematics between 2014 and 2016. he is also the Faculty of Physical Science Representative to the University of Calabar Senate. Dr James Ugboh is a member of the Nigerian Mathematical Society and Mathematical Association of Nigeria. .
