Ita O. Akpan is a Professor of Nuclear Physics. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Physics. He is a holder of the Nigeria certificate in education (NCE) from the then prestigious College of Education, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, B.Sc (Hons) First Class from University of Maiduguri, M.Sc and Ph.D degrees from the University of Calabar. He has attended over twenty two (22) conferences and workshops within and outside Nigeria where he presented twelve (12) conference papers. Besides he has a total of forty seven (47) journal articles which have been published in reputable journals at local and international levels. Professor Ita Akpan is a deacon in the Assemblies of God Church at 91 Nelson Mandela Road, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. He is happily married with three children and three grandchildren. .
