Pharmacist Odoala, Finian Kelechi was employed in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Calabar on the 23rd April 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from the University of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, and a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Pharmacology, from the Department of Pharmacology, University of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. He is currently undertaking his Ph.D. degree programme in the same department. He has an award of Long Service from May & Baker Nig. Plc, his previous employers. He has carried out the following Research works: Use of Antibiotics without prescriptions among Patrons of Community Pharmacies in Jos Metropolis, Plateau State, Interactions between Orthodox Medicines and Traditional Medicines: An experience with Aframomum melegueta, Paracetamol, and Amlodipine, Interference of Drug Assay by Phytochemicals, Quantification of Antioxidant activity, Identification of components using thin layer chromatography and screening for oestrogenic activity using in vitro and silico methods of Leafy vegetables, spices, and medicinal plants. His areas of concentration are Clinical Pharmacology; Computer-Aided Drug Discovery of novel anticancer and antiviral therapies. He has attended several trainings, conferences, and made presentations at such conferences..
