Dr.Ene is a seasoned, erudite and apt to teach, a scholar of repute and very innovative. He is well-grounded in pedagogical principles and practice, combining effectively with theories and practice of counseling. Over the years, he has acquired unique skills and capabilities in curriculum development and planning, teaching and as a guidance counselor. Dr.Ene is a holder of the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) from Federal College of Education, Kontagora, Niger State since 1986 and was awarded a B.Ed. degree in Guidance and Counselling by the University of Calabar in 1995,obtained M.Ed. degree in Guidance and Counselling from University of Calabar in 2002 and a Ph.D degree in Curriculum Studies and Social Studies from the University of Calabar, Calabar in 2017. Finally, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria(FCPA) and a Fellow of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria. He joined the services of the University of Calabar in 2008 as Assistant Lecturer and currently Lecturer 1.From the inception of his assumption of duty in University of Calabar, he has been teaching, counseling, mentoring thereby contributing to the graduation of students in the University. He also supervises graduate students theses. His teaching prowess spans across fields of studies like; philosophy, guidance and counseling, curriculum studies, environmental education, social studies education, and the courses taught include philosophy and logic, philosophy of education , history of education in Nigeria, curriculum development and evaluation, curriculum theory, introduction to teacher education, teaching profession in Nigeria, introduction to guidance and counselling, foundations of environmental education, man and environmental behaviour, man and social change, ethics of social work, impact of social problems on society, citizenship and moral education. Dr.Ene serves as a member of faculty graduate board, secretary of faculty theses vetting committee, coordinator of education programme and as diploma project coordinator, among others. Dr.Ene, has participated in l conference where he made presentation. He is a beneficiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Scholarship for a Master degree and the University of Calabar study fellowship for a Doctorate degree programme, was also honoured with the Golden Service Award by Institute of Human and Natural Resources in 2007; Global Leadership Award by Global Leadership Summit in 2009. He is a member of the Counselling Association of Nigeria(CASSON) member, Curriculum Organization of Nigeria(CON), member, World Council on Curriculum and Instruction(WCCI) , Member, National Association of Bible Knowledge Teachers of Nigeria(NABKTN), member, Hope Waddell Old Students Association. Dr.Ene has contributed to knowledge through research and publications..
