Mrs Alice Etim Echu holds a Bachelor of Library and Information Science Degree (BLIS) and Masters in Library and Information Science awarded by the University of Calabar, Calabar in 2013 and 2016 respectively. She joined the services of the University in 2005 where she served as Senior Library Assistant between 2005 and 2014. Her appointment was converted to that Graduate Assistant in 2014 before she was upgraded to the of Assistant Lecturer in 2017. She has been teaching, researching, mentoring thereby contributing to the growth of the University. Mrs Echu is a member of Nigerian Library Association, Member, National Association of Library and Information Science Educators and a Certified Librarian by the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria. Mrs Echu has published some articles in reputable local and international journals. She has also attended man conferences where she made presentations. She has rendered several community services among which include a reading promotion campaign in secondary schools in Calabar Municipality by National Library of Nigeria.
