Dr. Bassey Enya Ndem was employed into the Department of Economics, University of Calabar, Calabar 2010 as Assistant Lecturer and rose to the rank of Lecturer I in 2017. He attended the University of Calabar, Calabar between 1998 and 2002, where he was awarded a B. Sc. degree in Economics. He enrolled for a Masters degree programme in the University of Calabar between 1984 and 2008 with M.Sc. degree in Economics. He went for a computer program with Pacific Computers and had a Diploma in computer programming in 2007. He then proceeded for His PhD in 2009 and graduated in 2015 with a PhD degree in Econmic Development and Planning. Dr. Ndem has taught many courses in his area of specialization for over 10 years in the Department. He has also engaged in graduate student teaching, research and scientific mentoring. He has attended several conferences where he made presentations and useful contributions in his area of specialty Dr. Ndem has a practical research experience with international organizations such as USAID and European Union. He was also involved as a facilitator to the Government of Cross River State to develop the Local Empowerment Development Strategy, a World Bank Assisted Programme in 2011. Dr. Ndem is a life member of Nigerian Economic Society and has published several articles in reputable local and international peer reviewed journals..
