Dr. Anthony Uzochukwu Ufearoh joined the services of the University of Calabar in July, 2017 as Lecturer I in the Department of Philosophy. He holds B.A. degrees in Philosophy and Catholic Theology that were awarded to him by Urban University, Rome in 2001 and 2007 respectively. He was awarded M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Philosophy by the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in 2008 and 2012 respectively. He also hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Education Certificate (2007) from the National Teachers’ Institute in Affiliation with Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. Dr. Anthony speaks English fluently and has fair command of French and German Languages. He obtained Gfds Diploma B1 in German language from Deutsch Institut, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. His interest spans through Metaphysics, Environmental Philosophy, African Philosophy, and the Philosophy of Hannah Arendt whom he admires so much. He teaches Metaphysics and Environmental Philosophy. He is a member of Nigeria Philosophical Association (NPA). Dr. Anthony has five journal publications to his credit. Meanwhile, he has attended about seven local and international academic conferences. He is a member of Nigeria Philosophical Association and Association of African Traditional Religion and Philosophy. He is a Catholic Priest. .
