The local Organizing Committee of Higher Institution Football League, Unical Chapter has paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Florence Banku Obi.

Speaking at the brief event  held at the Council Chambers of the University, the Director of Sports and Chairman of the local Organizing Committee, Dr. Blessing Anam thanked the Vice Chancellor for the opportunity to serve the university, stressing that the visit became necessary to brief her of the state of preparedness as well as invite her to the forth coming football tournament to be hosted by unical

She said though the first leg encounter in Benin ended in a defeat, there was need to adequately prepare in order to have a better outing.

Responding, the vice chancellor, Prof. Florence Obi while commending the sports director for the willingness to serve also thanked God for journey mercies during the first encounter.

She stressed that the committee must work hard and put necessary measures in place to ensure victory in the next outing.

The Vice Chancellor who used the occasion to inaugurate the committee on sports charged members not just to be resolute, but present their needs to management so that proper preparation can be achieved within the shortest time available.
